Banger is a new sausage kiosk in luxury packaging that takes the sausage into the heat! And the first restaurant in the MESS premises in Stockholm. The brainchild of founders Jimmie Hall and Michael Howing. Designed by Sandell Sandberg Arkitekter.

At BANGER, all sausage lovers get the chance to experience shut-up-good sausages in a unique environment where food, community and entertainment go hand in hand. The menu contains a plethora of different toppings and accessories from around the world. From a simple 'boiled with bread' to lime and butter tossed lobster with truffle foam on a Pork Banger.

The artist behind all BANGER'S sausage artwork is Sausage Master Kerim Akkoc. Raised in LA with a mother from Sweden and a father from Turkey, Kerim has developed a passion for food, with a particular interest in sausages, that spans continents. With a career spanning everything from Michelin-starred restaurants to nightclubs, Kerim has now dominated the sausage scene for fourteen years. Among other things, he founded Taylors and Jones, created a special sausage for ABBA and also wrote a best-selling sausage book. But above all, everything tastes so very good!

Prefabricated architectural concept by architect Emelie Holmberg. I photographed the first made situated in unspoiled woodlands on the island of Väddö, Sweden.

It grew out of a realization of changing living and working patterns partly precipitated by the pandemic. Pre-Covid, Emelie had dreamt of a more flexible lifestyle facilitated by technology, allowing her to work remotely wherever she chose, so long as she had internet access.

This partly sparked the idea for Gimme Shelter, which began life as a concept for her own self-build, low-cost home. The project comprises two structures. One measures 32 sq m and contains a living room, kitchen, and bathroom; the other occupies 10sq m and houses a bedroom.
